Community Involvement
Fighting For Forte |
In the fall of 2016 the cheerleaders wanted to show their support for fellow Charger Cameron Forte. Cameron was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma Cancer in April of 2016. The girls worked hard and sponsored a 5K walk for cancer and wore yellow bows during football season with #31 in honor of Cam. Cameron fought hard and beat cancer. He is now cancer free as of December 2016!!

Teens for Jeans |
In 2015, the cheerleaders gathered jeans for homeless teens in the community as part of the Teens for Jeans campaign with DoSomething.org. After reaching out to classmates and neighbors, the cheerleaders also put boxes in local businesses, encouraging the community to drop off gently used jeans of all sizes. Over 13,000 schools across North America participated in the Teens for Jeans campaign. The Corner Canyon High School Cheerleaders collected the most jeans in North America — 9,146 pairs — and were awarded with $5,000 and a concert by British pop group, The Vamps. The contest, connected with the Do Something website and coordinated through Aeropostale, allowed the cheer squad to deliver the jeans to shelters, where they toured the facilities and learned about the programs offered.
